DENZEL WASHINGTON AND PAULETTA WASHINGTON – 36  YEARS

They have been inseparable since 1977, but Malcolm X star Denzel had to go down on his knees not once but twice before Pauletta finally said ‘Yes’ in 1983! The lovebirds first met on the sets of the made-for-TV movie Wilma, and started seeing each other soon after, even before Denzel made it to the big leagues to become a top-grossing and award-winning actor.

Pauletta, herself is an accomplished actress having appeared in Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It and the critically acclaimed movie Philadelphia. So it really didn’t  come as a surprise when we saw one of their four kids, John David, star as the lead actor in the Oscar-nominated movie by Spike Lee, BlacKkKlansman. Talent runs in the family, we suppose!
